Opportunities for investors

The City of Pilsen is striving towards balanced development in all areas, and is not inclined to take over the role of the private sector in cases where it is not necessary. Securing the balanced development of all the city's functions by using four main tools – through regional planning, subsidyprogrammes, public-private partnerships (PPP) and as an investor, it also creates a positive business environment.

There is plenty of space for innovative business in the city of Pilsen. Space is currently available, for example, at the  BIC Pilsen technology centre. In 2008, the Pilsen Science and Technology Park also opened to companies dedicated to innovation. In April 2012 Phase II was finished and the last phase III will be realized in next years. Pilsen is also the home base for a number of research and development companies.

The Master Plan defines development areas for housing (B), production (V), mixed urban areas (M) and other areas (S). Every two years, the Urban Planning and Development Institute of the City of Pilsen issues an Information Update on Development Zones Master Plan of the City of Pilsen.
